The latest from GETEFX production.
How We're Integrating AI Into Our Production Pipeline
There’s a lot of noise around AI in creative work. Most of it is either breathless hype or defensive dismissal. We’re not interested in either position.
At getEFX, we’ve been spending the past several months testing, integrating, and — just as importantly — rejecting AI tools at each stage of our production pipeline. Here’s where we’ve landed.
Pre-Production: Where AI earns the most
Concept development and pre-visualization are where AI genuinely accelerates the work. Generating reference imagery, iterating on visual directions quickly, blocking out scene compositions before committing to a full 3D build — these are tasks that used to eat days. They no longer do.
We use AI-assisted pre-viz to pressure-test creative ideas early, so by the time we’re in production, the direction is locked and the execution can be precise.
VFX & CGI: Selective integration
In our VFX pipeline, AI earns its place in specific, bounded tasks: rotoscoping, noise reduction in renders, motion tracking, and upscaling. These are technically demanding, time-intensive tasks where AI tools now perform at a level that meets our standard.
Where AI does not earn its place in our CGI work: lighting design, material development, and final compositing. These remain human-directed. The difference between a render that looks correct and one that feels right is still a craft judgment — and we intend to keep it that way.
Post-Production: Sound and colour
AI-assisted audio cleanup, dialogue enhancement, and ambient sound design are now part of our post workflow. In colour grading, we use AI-powered tools for technical correction while keeping the creative grade entirely manual.
The principle we’re working from
AI handles the technical. Humans direct the creative. Every tool we adopt has to make the work better for the audience watching it — not just faster or cheaper for the studio making it.
That’s the standard we’re building to.
Why Dubai. Why Now. What We're Here to Make.
Dubai produces a staggering volume of video content every year. Real estate launches, luxury brand campaigns, mega-events, government initiatives, product releases — the city runs on visual communication at a scale most markets never experience.
And yet, a gap persists. There’s a lot of content being made. There’s far less production being done.
The difference matters.
Content is volume. Production is intention. At getEFX, we’re not building a content factory. We’re building a production studio — one that approaches every brief with the same rigour you’d bring to a feature film or a global commercial campaign.
What we’ll be producing
VFX & CGI — Visual effects and computer-generated imagery for commercial, architectural, and narrative projects. Not stock assets dropped into footage — bespoke work built to the brief.
AI-Integrated Production — We’re building AI into our pipeline at every stage where it makes the work better: pre-viz, motion, compositing, and creative development. Not to replace craft — to accelerate it.
Real Estate & Architectural Visualization — Dubai’s property market demands cinematic presentation. We produce walkthroughs, aerial sequences, and launch films that sell vision, not just square footage.
Event Coverage — Dubai hosts some of the world’s most ambitious events. We cover them with a documentary eye and a production standard that matches the occasion.
Product Advertising — From luxury goods to consumer tech, product films that are built to perform across every platform.
This is what we’re here to make. And we’re almost ready.
April 2026. getEFX launches from Mecca, KSA.
Moonlight Minar Announces mutaallim.com
Before getEFX, there was Moonlight Minar.
Our parent company has been quietly building something meaningful — and today we’re proud to share it. mutaallim.com is an Islamic online education platform designed specifically for children and women, built from the ground up by a women-led team.
What is mutaallim.com?
Mutaallim (متعلم) means “learner” in Arabic. The platform delivers structured Islamic education — Quran, Arabic, Islamic studies, and character development — in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and purpose-built for its audience.
The curriculum is designed with children and women at the centre, not as an afterthought. The pedagogy, the interface, the tone — all of it reflects the values and needs of the community it serves.
Women-led, by design
This isn’t a diversity footnote. The platform is conceived, directed, and operated by women. That means the educational philosophy, content decisions, and community standards are shaped by the people who understand this audience most deeply.
Why this matters to getEFX
Moonlight Minar’s mission — to build things that are genuinely useful, beautifully made, and rooted in values — is the same ethos getEFX brings to video production. We’re not just a commercial studio. We’re part of a group of companies that believes craft and purpose belong together.
mutaallim.com is expected to launch soon. Follow their journey at mutaallim.com.
Building the Digital Home of getEFX
Every great production starts with pre-production. Before a single frame is shot, before a single render completes, you plan. That’s exactly what we’ve been doing — and part of that plan is this website.
The getEFX digital home is now under active construction. This is where our work will live, where our clients will find us, and where we’ll document the journey of building a video production studio from the ground up in Dubai.
Why Dubai?
Dubai is one of the most visually ambitious cities on the planet. Real estate developers need cinematic walkthroughs. Brands need product content that competes globally. Events here are produced at a scale most cities never see. The demand for high-quality video — VFX, CGI, AI-assisted production — is growing faster than the supply of studios that can actually deliver it at that level.
That’s the gap getEFX is built to fill.
What we’re building toward
Our services will span the full spectrum of video production: CGI and VFX work, AI-integrated pipelines, real estate and architectural visualization, event coverage, and product advertising. Everything produced with a cinematic standard, not a content-mill approach.
The website you’re reading right now is being built in parallel with the studio itself. Expect it to evolve quickly over the coming weeks.
Official launch is set for April 2026, from Mecca, KSA.
